You may (or may not) remember my post in early August where I signed off for a few months due a period of difficulty and uncertainty in my personal life. Whilst it still continues, to some degree, I am pleased to say it’s not as crippling as it was and I am now starting to see some light amid all the darkness of yesterday. All of which would not have been possible without the unwavering support of my family and closest friends (you know who you are) – I am forever and ever indebted to those beautiful humans.
For a while I had little to no mental energy to contemplate writing anything except in my journal. Any kind of pleasurable reading grinded to a halt. Instead, I only read anything related to what I was going through or ‘lift me up’ works.
In the months that followed I wrote some raw poetry which I hope to publish as a pamphlet at some point in the future. I, also, have another project idea off the back of that too.
My previous two projects are on the back burner, sadly. I do hope to pick them up again later, September 2025 perhaps.
In terms of my reading challenge. I’m nearly there! 24 books read so far this year. I’m determined to finish my 25th tomorrow, therefore, reaching my target, right on the nose.
I am currently enjoying Beth Kempton’s ‘Winter Writing Sanctuary’ once again. I’m hoping this will springboard me back into my daily writing routine come the turn of the year. Wish me luck!
Life definitely threw me curve ball in a massive way mid-year. It took a while for me to see it as a positive. I’m nearly there. I’m determined my life will change for the better now. I will be at the helm, steering it forward, steering it to success in whatever form.
There’s only one thing left for me to say. Happy New Year! Keep reading, keep writing and keep creating!

Happy Easter to you and yours🐣🐰🥚🐇
