I want to start by saying Happy New Year and that I hope you enjoyed celebrating the festivities with family and friends. Let’s all wish for a new year that brings you good health, wealth and an abundance of happiness.
A quick update from my last post. I passed my Masters degree in Creative Writing … yay to me!
You may be wondering what’s next for me post-education. Well I’ll tell you.
I am going to continue with the writing of my novel/novella. Yes I know, I’m still undecided whether it will be a novel or novella but hopefully, by the end of this month, I will be able to confirm this.
How I hear you say? Well, I’m now going back over what I have written so far (which is, incidentally, 9 chapters) and editing. Taking into account the feedback from my former (and wonderful) OU tutor, Sarah Bower. I am also in the process of putting together a spreadsheet detailing all my character’s traits and other important information about them as well as a chapter-by-chapter synopsis. From there I will plan the rest of the story.
My story is ready for this now, the pantser attitude won’t do. I have to be a planner for this to work. If I don’t do this now then all my hard work will go to nothing and I can’t have that. This story has been simmering in my head for over thirty years. I MUST do it justice!
Finally, I just want to finish by saying thank you for the follows, views, likes and comments. It is really appreciated. My only NY’s resolution (because I don’t really do NY resolutions) is to make time to read more WordPress posts. I’ve been struggling to do this as life is just so busy. So, there’s only one more thing to say … keep reading, keep writing and keep creating!
